Remember when you were just getting email (through AOL dial-up) and sending out surveys after school were the “IT” thing to do? Well, now there’s an app for that for mothers questioning their son’s sexuality. With a round of “20 Questions,” you too can answer whether or not your child fits the bill of a gay-stereotype. According to Jezebel, if the app concludes that your son is gay, the app says “No need to look the other way! … He is gay! … ACCEPT IT!” Yes, this is not fiction.

The French developed application is receiving tons of backlash and will most likely be pulled, as it doesn’t meet the Android Market Developer Program Policies; much like the iPhone app back in March that used biblical teachings to cure your homosexual tendencies. Stereotypes alone will raise eyebrows, but the blatant anti-gay generalizations that were made (which are clearly written with the grammar of a 10 year old with Google access) suggest that it was created for a tongue in cheek approach that backfired.

Here are some of the questions included in the “test:”

1. Does he like to dress up nicely? Does he pay close attention to his outfits and brand names?

2. Does he like football?

3. Before he was born did you wish he would be a girl?

4. Has he ever gotten into or participated in a fight?

5. Does he read sports magazines?
