CLEVELAND – If you watch next week’s episode of “Dancing With the Stars,” be sure to look into the crowd.
Wanda and Roy Whitmore, of Shaker Heights, will be traveling to Hollywood Oct. 20 to celebrate their 22nd wedding anniversary. The pair will be in the studio audience, thanks to a gift from Cuyahoga Community College.
Claire Rosacco, spokesperson for Tri-C said employees of the school got together to give the Whitmores a special retirement gift and with the help of NewsChannel5, they are on their way to Los Angeles.
Both Roy and Wanda are elated to go and are also ballroom dancers themselves. They said they can’t wait to watch, study and observe the talent it takes to do the dance.
Wanda Whitmore doesn’t like to fly, so Tri-C even setup travel with Amtrak to take them to Hollywood.
