CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

A 72-year-old Cleveland man is recovering after a vicious dog attack.

LeRoy Carodine was bit several times by the violent animals Sunday on the city’s east side.

Two dogs were shot and killed by police after they lunged at officers. A third dog was taken to the city kennel. A fourth dog, however, remains on the loose. Officials are working to track down the dangerous animal.

It seems every neighbor around East 86th and Meridian is fearful of the dogs that have plagued their neighborhood. The dogs killed a neighborhood Cocker Spaniel, too.

Neighbors believe the dogs are Cane Corsos, and that someone in the area is breeding them.

19 Action News has learned the owner, a Cleveland resident, is expected to be charged sometime today. No arrest was made.
