North Olmsted police say a man shop-lifted two vodka bottles, by shoving them down the front of his pants.

Thomas Eder Jr was arrested at Marc’s on Great Northern Boulevard on October 25th at 9:30 in the morning.

Marc’s employees saw Eder hide the liquor bottles in his pants and walk out the front door without paying for them. One employee followed Eder, while other employees  called police and gave Officers a description of Eder.

When police arrived, they spotted Eder and brought him back to the store, where employees identified him.

The total value of the two bottles of vodka was $7.98.

When the Officers and Eder arrived back at Marc’s, Eder’s father was walking out of the store. He told police he and his son were heading to the license bureau, when Eder Jr wanted to buy a pack of cigarettes and asked to be dropped off near Marcs’s.  Eder’s dad also says this son has another theft charge pending and he hoped this would not hurt his chances of getting on disability again.

Eder is charged with petty theft.
