CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Cleveland State breaking ground on a new residential development.

The $50M neighborhood will bring 600 new residents to the CSU campus.

Campus Village will be the single largest residential development in Cleveland in more than three decades, and will be located at East 23rd and Chester Avenue.

Campus Village will be a modern lifestyle development comprised of nine buildings with restaurants, shops, green space for outdoor activities and 8,000 square feet of indoor amenities, including a movie theater, media rooms and a cyber café.

There will be more than 300 market-rate apartments – all designed to attract young professionals, alumni and students interested in living downtown and near a campus community.

Construction began this week, with the first phase to be complete by fall of 2012, and the second phase to be complete by the fall of 2013.
