STOW, Police – Stow police found a methamphetamine lab in a house and garage on Uniondale Drive Tuesday morning.

The City of Stow Building Inspector and Stow police went to investigate a house to see if it was safe for people to live there. According to the Stow Police Department, the house had been a meth lab in the past and they suspected electric was being illegally obtained.

The house in the 2100 block of Uniondale Drive was boarded up and a notice was posted for the homeowner, who was not home at the time. Lewis Gene Butler Jr., 39, has faced charges for manufacturing meth in the past.

Butler is due to appear in court before the end of the year for previous arrests and a warrant has been issued for him. Anyone with information on Butler should call the Stow Police Department at 330-689-5700.

Stow police said the case is still under investigation and charges are pending.
