PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio – Two Parma Heights bars were busted for illegal gambling on Wednesday, police say.

The Ohio Investigative Unit and the Parma Heights Police Department began the long-term investigation after receiving a complaint from a resident.

Officers from multiple agencies searched DAG Tavern on Pearl Road, known as Good Time Charlie’s, and Bueresti Enterprises on West 130th Street, commonly known as Mr. B’s. Police also searched two homes, one in Brunswick and another in Parma, and Union Vending in Cleveland.

“When we receive citizen complaints on establishments such as these, we will investigate. The cooperation between all of the agencies has enhanced our abilities to conduct this investigation,” said Cleveland Agent-in-Charge Greg Croft.

The Ohio Investigative Unit said the bars’ violations include operating a gambling house, possessing a gambling device and gambling as a substantial source of income.
