CLEVELAND – Cleveland police said a 10-year-old boy was shot and killed by his 13-year-old brother Monday morning in a home on the 11000 block of Dove Avenue.
Officers said it happened at about 6:45 a.m., when they found the 10-year-old boy shot in the stomach.
The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where police said he died of injuries.
Police said the preliminary investigation showed the victim’s 13-year-old brother was handling a handgun inside the home and the gun shot off, hitting the 10-year-old boy.
Officers took the 13-year-old into custody and are continuing to investigate the shooting.
