I think sometimes we get so wrapped up in everyday life that we fail to realize the importance of quality family time. Whether it be just eating together at the dinner table, going to see a movie together, shopping, etc. The actual activity really doesn’t matter, but what does matter is the time that you spend together.
As I see my daughter getting older and how she interacts with my husband and me, I see the importance of the time that we spend together as a family. I see how important it is to show her how a family should interact and and how they show love for one another because when she grows up and has a family of her own, I want those same values we instilled in her to be passed down to her own family.
I understand that life has a way of wrapping us up in obligations, but we still have to set aside time to spend with each other. All families are different and all families have their own way of spending quality time, so maybe this is just a reminder to myself and to all the families out there to remember to take time out and spend it with one another.
