After months of a whispers about another follow-up to Friday, the good news has been confirmed.
TMZ.com reports that another installment in the Friday franchise, featuring the original cast, is on the way!
“Absolutely yes the studio is in the process of getting the entire original cast to do another ‘Friday’,” A rep for Ice Cube’s Cube Vision Productions told TMZ.
With that confirmation, it’s safe to say that Ice Cube would be onboard for the sequel. Chris Tucker, Nia Long and Tiny Lister are also expected to be involved.
Tiny said that both he and Chris were game to do another Friday installment, but contract negotiations were the only thing holding up the process.
It’s not clear what would be done about the role of Pastor Clever, played by the late Bernie Mac.
