CLEVELAND – Cleveland police officers on patrol were flagged down by a man who had been shot in the face at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday on East 55th Street near Quincy Avenue.

According to police, the man was sitting in his parked truck at the intersection of Kennard Road and Quincy Avenue when he was shot.

The victim then ran from the area to the intersection of East 55th and Scovill Avenue where he was able to flag down police.

The man was shot one time in his lower jaw. Cleveland EMS transported the man to MetroHealth Medical Center and his condition is unknown.

Police said they have a suspect description but are not releasing it at this time.

Cleveland police and CMHA police are both investigating.
