I mean really, are crooks really this stupid? LOL!

A Chicago man robbed a Radio Shack of $17,000 in merchandise, but police tracked him down quickly thanks to the global positioning equipment he stole.

20 year old Raymond Jefferson, is charged with tying up people who were at the electronics store, stealing gear from the shop and fleeing before police captured him about two hours later.

Jefferson was identified by witnesses as the man who robbed the store.

Jefferson, threatened the victims with a handgun, bound their hands with plastic ties and took their cell phones before stealing other electronics equipment from the store.

Among the stolen items, however, was global positioning gear (GPS) that led officers to Jefferson.

On Sunday, Cook County Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil ordered him held on $350,000 bond on charges of armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping. SMDH!
