Move over Basketball Wives and Real Housewives of Atlanta, BET confirmed a new series titled “HouseHusbands.” The series is a comedic spin-off of a sketch titled “The Real House Husbands of Hollywood” aired during the 2011 BET Awards.
Starring Kevin Hart, House Husbands is described as a “semi-scripted reality TV spoof.” “The pressures of spousal stardom are almost too much to bear. Watch the House Husbands air it all out in this semi-scripted reality TV spoof of every fill-in-the-blank Wives franchise,” reports BET.
While it is unclear who may join Hart for the series, the sketch aired during the BET Awards featured Nick Cannon, Hip Hop star Nelly and R&B crooner Bobby Brown. Basketball Wives star Tami Roman also appeared as Hart’s love interest.
“House Husbands” is just one of a few new series BET will launch in the coming months. It will also join recently renewed series The Game, Let’s Stay Together and Reed Between The Lines.
