The man involved in the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old during a robbery went on a profanity-laced tirade during his sentencing.

23-year-old Jadell Van Horn was sentenced to 41-years to life on Tuesday morning. Upon hearing his sentence, an angry Van Horn spewed obscenities. He then demanded his lawyers to get him out of the courtroom.

According to police, Van Horn participated in the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Navario Banks on March 7, 2011. During the robbery, the victim was shot in the back of the head at his Warrensville Heights home.

Police found a shotgun at Van Horn’s Lakewood residence that was stolen from the victim’s residence. On March 20 of this year, Van Horn pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated murder, two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of kidnapping.

Van Horn was on parole when Banks was murdered.

The day after Banks’ murder, Van Horn robbed a 21-year-old man near Bellaire Road and Guardian Avenue in Cleveland. The victim was shot on the right side of his neck.

Van Horn pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of attempted murder in that case.
