Basketball Wives’ assistant to Evelyn Lozada, Nia Crooks has been charged with misdeameanor battery.
The reality chic was charged after striking Jennifer Williams in the mouth in January…we saw the slap during last week’s episode.
A rep for the Broward County State’s Attorney’s Office tells BMS officials decided to file the charge on April 10 after Williams filed a criminal complaint.
Williams has already filed a lawsuit accusing her personal assistant of slapping her on the TV show.
Williams claims she is still suffering from a neck injury and post traumatic stress since she was attacked.
The incident, which aired on Monday, happened when television channel VH1 were filming the group on January 21 in the presidential suite of the Gulfstream Park racetrack in South Florida.
If Nia is convicted she could face a year in jail.
