CLEVELAND – Case Western Reserve University police issued an alert after a student was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning.

According to the alert, the robbery happened at about 12:30 a.m. on Wade Park Avenue near East 115th Street.

Police said the student was walking when he was approached by two men on bicycles who ordered him to the ground after one suspect produced a dark colored firearm. After taking the student’s belongings, the suspects pedaled away northbound on East 115th Street.

Police described the suspects as black males, between the ages of 18 and 20, between 5’7″ and 5’10” in height. Both males were last seen wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

No arrests have been made in connection with the robbery.

CWRU police said another student was robbed at gunpoint along Wade Park Avenue between Mistletoe Drive and East 115th Street on Thursday, March 22. In that robbery, the student was also approached by a man on a bicycle who showed a gun and demanded the student’s valuables. The student was not injured.

No arrests have been made in either robbery.
