AKRON, OH (WOIO) –
The owner-manager of the Jade Dragon Restaurant in Akron was assaulted by a gun-toting punk late Monday night.
It happened around 10:30PM at the East Exchange Street restaurant.
The owner says he was taking out the trash at closing time when the suspect approached and hit him in the face with handgun. The owner fell to the ground. As he picked himself off of the ground, the would-be robber fled without getting anything.
The victim sustained minor injuries during the assault. He drove himself to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect is 18 – 20 years old, 5’07”, 160 – 170 lbs., and armed with a handgun.
