STRONGSVILLE, OH (WOIO) –

Cracker Barrel shooting sole survivor, Kayla Allen, 10, has taken a turn for the worse and will be released from MetroHealth Medical Center to the care of Hospice of Western Reserve.

Family members released the following statement Friday afternoon:

“We would like to thank the community for their continued support, as well as the staff at MetroHealth for the wonderful care they have provided to Kayla and our family during this difficult time.”

On April 12, Kayla Allen along with her sister Kerri Allen, 10, and mother Katherina Allen were gunned down by their father Kevin Allen while dining at the Brooklyn Cracker Barrel for Kerri’s 10th birthday.

The couple’s failed marriage sparked the shooting rampage.

Kevin Allen was then gunned down by police.
