Cleveland Police are investigating two crime scenes after a stabbing and car accident left a woman and a baby dead late Thursday night.
Homicide detectives are investigating two crime scenes, at East 123rd Street and Soika Avenue, as well as East 125th Street and Griffing Avenue.
A 29-year-old woman was stabbed in the neck close to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.
She then reportedly started driving a vehicle, when she struck a 2-year-old girl in the 3000 block of E. 125th Street.
Some type of altercation is believed to have resulted in the stabbing, but details are not clear.
The 2-year-old was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, where she died.
The 29-year-old was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where she also died.
One woman is in police custody. Her name has not been released.
The official causes of death will be determined by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
