CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Saturday, Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson along with city officials and community members at Forest Hills Park, kicked off the opening of the 2012 outdoor pool season.

All outdoor public pools in the City of Cleveland are open Wednesday through Sunday from noon until 7:30 p.m. If temperatures are over 85 degrees on Monday and Tuesdays, the pools will be open on those days as well.

City spray basins are also open when temps reach 80 degrees and above. Indoor pools are open Monday through Saturday 12:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. all year.

Cleveland’s Division of Recreation will be providing free lunches at all City Recreation Centers. Free meals will be provided Monday thru Friday to children 18 years of age and under or persons over 18 who are determined by a state or local public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled. The Summer Food Service Program for Children will provide the meals without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, age, or disability.

Listed below are the city recreation centers and other locations where free meals will be served. The free summer lunch program ends August 17th.
