A funeral has been set for Kile Glover, son of Tameka and stepson of Usher, after a jet ski incident left him brain dead.
The service for Kile Glover, 11, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta.
On July 6, Glover and a 15-year-old friend were riding on an inner tube pulled by a pontoon boat on Lake Lanier in Georgia, according to reports.
A family friend riding a jet ski slammed into the inner tube, striking Glover in the head and knocking him unconscious, authorities said. He was later declared brain dead, while his friend was released from thehospital after suffering a cut in the head and a broken arm.
Tameka made the decision to take him off of life support because her insurance would not longer pay for it.
The family friend, identified as 38-year-old Jeffrey Hubbard, could face criminal charges.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources said Monday it was still investigating the case and a recommendation could be made to the district attorney.
Glover’s father is Atlanta television exec Ryan Glover and his mother is Tameka Foster.
Thoughts are with the family. Nobody wants to bury their own child.
