CLEVELAND – Before President Barack Obama officially accepts the presidential nomination at the Democratic National Convention, he will make a campaign stop in Cleveland.

The President will be at Luke Easter Park on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on Labor Day, the Obama campaign said. The event is scheduled to start at about 4:55 p.m.

During his “Road to Charlotte” tour, he is expected to speak about “American heroes.”

Tickets are not required for this event, but attendees “will go through airport-like security,” according to the campaign. Gates will open at 1 p.m. and no bags, signs, umbrellas and water bottles will be permitted.

Obama will also speak at the Congressional District Community Caucus Labor Day Festival with Rep. Marcia Fudge.

Also on Monday, the President will campaign in Toledo. The details of that event have not been released. The Democratic National Convention starts on Sept. 4 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
