LORDSTOWN, Ohio – On Friday, Vice President Joe Biden will visit Lordstown, Ohio for a campaign event with supporters at the United Auto Workers Local 1714 Union Hall.

Biden is expected to the choice facing Ohio voters between two very different candidates and their visions on the best way to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and pay down the debt.

The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. The event is free, but tickets are required and are available at the Organizing for America Warren headquarters located at 115 S. Park Ave. in Warren, Ohio.

The most recent polling data from Real Clear Politics shows President Barack Obama up by +1.4 (Obama with 46.6 percent and Republican challenger Mitt Romney with 45.2 percent) in the state of Ohio from Aug. 13 through Aug. 25. (Real Clear Politics takes an average of all polls conducted by other agencies).

Biden’s visit comes just days after General Motors asked candidates not to tour its plants until after Election Day. Since GM’s bankruptcy in 2009 and subsequent receipt of billions of taxpayer dollars, GM has been target of the campaign from both sides of the political aisle.
