Summertime is a great time to put into practice some great some great steps toward healthy living that can lead to better health and positivity. Here are some great ways to add greatness into your summer days.

1. During the summer months, many of us enjoy eating cool treats. From fresh juices to smoothies, there are great eats and treats during the summer. If you add anything to your diet during the summer, let it be berries. For a great summer breakfast, why not trying adding a cup of fresh berries to your diet.Fresh blueberries or a mixture of fresh berries accompanying your oatmeal or cereal is a great and healthy way to of obtaining vitamins and nutrients to your diet. Many berries are high and fiber and low in cholesterol For a great summer treat, why not try a low calorie smoothie with fresh berries, a banana and some low fat yogurt.

2. Stress less and get dirty doing it! It is true… gardening is a great way to de-stress and studies show it. To improve your stress level why not plant a small garden, grab the kids and cultivate a flower box, or find some joy in planting a new flower pots on your porch. Experts agree that the simple task of putting your hands in dirt and allowing them to grind the dirt is a great way to allow stresses leave your body.

3. After a great summer meal, take time to floss away those particles. You know you need to, so begin a great daily practice of it. For all of us, it is important to floss every single day. During the summer, floss at the beach, or while enjoying the sunshine on your patio. Flossing reduces oral bacteria, which improves overall body health, If you are one who already flosses daily and you’re doing better than at least 85% of people.

4. Outdoor exercise is a great way to stay in shape and enjoy the great outdoors during the summer months. Why not wake up early in the morning and take in a great power walk? Or simply walk along the beach as you watch the sunrise. During the summer months there are endless opportunities to stay in shape with the outdoors as your backdrop.

From hiking, biking and swimming, summer is the perfect time to firm up those joints and muscles and breathe some wonderful oxygen outdoors!
