“I can make him mad any number of ways.”

That’s one of the remarks Michelle Obama shared about the cool Commander-in-Chief on ABC’s The View in an interview set to air Tuesday.

For the first time, the First Couple sat down together with the ladies of The View and talked about their personal lives and answered questions about Barack Obama‘s foreign policy and his political opponent Mitt Romney.

The President, known for his calm temperament, said there are times that he raises his voice when the First Lady is “being thoroughly unreasonable.” He added, “You try to keep an even keel during the day, but there are times, after the day is done, when it comes out.”

When asked what the election of Mitt Romney would mean for the country, Obama pointed out that “We can survive a lot, but the American people don’t want to just survive, we want to thrive.”

When asked about the recent attacks on US embassies in the Middle East that caused the deaths of four US diplomats, he told View co-hosts that America will not “shrink back from the world” because of the attack.

“We are going to hunt down those who did this. We will bring them to justice. We will make sure that we do everything we have to do to protect our embassies and our diplomatic posts, but we’re going to stay engaged.”

Later today, Obama will speak at the United Nations General Assembly in New York and at the Clinton Global Initiative.
