Trent Richardson, the Browns’ rookie running back, missed practice for personal reasons on Friday.

Head coach Pat Shurmur said Richardsons’ situation was cleared by the team. The head coach later confirmed the reason Trent was not at practice was because he was attending the birth of his third child with his girlfriend, Sevina.

Richardsons’ absence, and the reason for it, was first reported by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Trent already has two girls, Taliyah, and Elevera. The third child is expected to be a boy.

Shurmur said Richardson will be with the team in the Meadowlands for Sunday’s game.

On Friday, reserve backs Chris Ogbonnaya and Montario Hardesty took Richardsons’ snaps as the team practiced inside due to the rain.

Shurmur said he has seen players come back from personal situations and do well in that week’s game.
