CLEVELAND, OH –

It was a dominating performance, the Browns overwhelmed the Kansas City Chiefs, and Browns fans watched as young players like Brandon Weeden and Josh Gordon took another step in the development process.

It was a third straight win for the Browns and a fifth win in their last eight games.

“I don’t know how that happened, but the new team owner may have a role in boosting morale. I don’t know, but it’s fabulous, and I’ll take it,” said Browns fan Venus Rhodes.

It seemed like a foregone conclusion during an 0-5 start to the season that head coach Pat Shurmur would be fired after the season, but now he may have coached his way back into the job. Shurmur, at the least, has coached his way back into the discussion.

“I think they need to let this go, there have been to many changes and that is part of the issue.  They haven’t been able to get anything positive going because there has been so much change,” argued Browns fan Julie Reed.

The Browns’ young defense completely shut down the Chiefs, and that defense was put together by General Manager Tom Heckert is impressive.  You would think that would be enough to keep him on the job, but not everyone is so sure “As far as the changes you just have to trust management. They know what they’re doing, they’re doing it full time, I am just happy for the win,” said Browns fan Tom Christel.

The Browns are now 5-8 and they have three football games left, and if they win all three and finish 8-8 there is an outside shot they could still make the playoffs.  The Browns will be eliminated when another team in the conference wins a ninth game.
