CLEVELAND –

Statements continue to be taken by Cleveland police officers involved in a chase that ended with a double fatal shooting.
The head of the Cleveland Police Patrolman’s Association, Jeff Follmer, said three statements were being taken Thursday morning by the BCI.

Follmer said afterwards, lists will be checked to make sure everyone that was there the night of the deadly shooting, that began in Cleveland and ended in East Cleveland, has been interviewed.
On Nov. 29, authorities fired 137 rounds at Malissa Williams and Timothy Russell Jr., killing them both. Officers said they thought they heard a shot fired outside the Justice Center, which prompted the 20 minute chase that led to the shooting.
Funeral services were held Saturday for Russell in Twinsburg. The family of Williams said they will hold candlelight vigil at 5:30 p.m. Thursday outside Williams’s uncle’s home. Anyone who wants to come and participate should go to 2709 Central St., Cleveland.
