CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

As a result of the forecasted temperatures and snow The Ohio Department of Transportation will have crews out this evening and through the morning, as needed.

As Jeff Tanchak predicts a people all over the Cleveland area are getting ready to get socked with a lot of wet weather.

Some people are getting ready, some are not.

In Cleveland residents are scrambling to get last minute Christmas gifts as well as groceries.

People were seen out shopping so they are not stuck in the midst of Friday’s storm.

“I’ve been baking all week, getting ready, wrapping gifts.  It’s going to be a good holiday,” said Claudia Lamb.

Claudia knows an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. That’s why she is filling up her gas containers now, while the prices are low and the weather isn’t too bad.

“I’ve got a snow blower too that I can run. So I put some in there. That’s what I’m doing, getting ready for the snow and I’m going out to my daughter’s to bake a ginger bread house.  So I’m hoping I don’t get the snow, because she lives way out in Chagrin,” said Claudia Lamb.

“Just getting Christmas shopping finished before Monday so I don’t have to do anything this weekend,” said Jessica Schroder.
