Have you been missing old jams from the likes of Da Brat, Jagged Edge, and Xscape? Well. you don’t have to wait too much longer to hear from them.
Jermaine Dupri announced this week that he will be holding a So So Def anniversary concert at the Fox Theater in Atlanta on February 23.
Other So So Def artists include Bow Wow, Bonecrusher, Anthony Hamilton, J-Kwon, Kriss Kross, Dem Franchise Boyz and Dondria who are all expected to be a part of concert.
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed recognized Jermaine Dupri and L.A. Reid for “birthing what Atlanta has become in music and entertainment” at the event also.
Dupri also plans on releasing a 20-song “Best of So So Def” compilation CD this upcoming June.
Unfortunately, Dupri has had a lot of financial troubles lately, including the possible foreclosure on his Atlanta home. Hopefully, this can help him get back on his feet.
