CLEVELAND – Police are investigating the shooting death of a 16-year-old Hispanic girl in Cleveland overnight.
The shooting happened on West 102 nd Street near Thrush Avenue at about 12:15 a.m. on Friday.
Police said that the girl’s father heard multiple gunshots outside and found that his daughter was not in her room. He went outside to check on her and found her in the back yard with multiple gunshot wounds.
The girl was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Officers are searching for the person responsible.
