GirlTrek’s 2013 campaign, “We Are Harriet”, will launch on Sunday, March 10, 2013, which marks the 100th anniversary (centennial) of Harriet Tubman’s death. Last year, over 10,000 Black women and girls walked with GirlTrek. This year, in remembrance of the impact Harriet made on Blacks’ freedom, GirlTrek’s 2013 walking campaign will be a “moving tribute” celebrating the centennial of Harriet’s life!
