Lordy, Lordy, Lordy! How ’bout some Friday Gospel Gossip? No problem, glad to oblige.
Courtesy of the ATL’s Mr. Obnoxious, William G. McCray III, comes news of the arrest of “televangelist” Juanita Bynum.
Obnoxious is reporting that Madame Bynum was is being held without bond as of this time. He’s reporting that she was arrested Thursday in Dallas Texas for a Capias Warrant.
A Capias Warrant is issued to compel someone to do something. These warrants are usually issued for a person who owes money based on a court judgment or who fails to appear for a civil hearing. Capias warrants are issued by the civil courts, so they are different from criminal arrest warrants — but that doesn’t mean you can’t wind up in jail on a capias arrest warrant.
It seems that it was civil case filed against her by a promoter named Al Washington.
Al had to have known she was coming and had her picked up and right before preaching
