CLEVELAND – A large fight at a vocational school on Cleveland’s east side prompted multiple ambulances to be dispatched to the scene.

The incident happened just after 11 a.m. Friday at Jane Addams Business Career Center on East 30th Street.

Cleveland police said officers were called to the school for a large fight, and EMS dispatchers said it has sent three ambulances there.

According to Cleveland Metropolitan School District spokeswoman Dr. Roseann Confora, at least one, but more likely two fights broke out and CMSD security used pepper spray to break up the fights.

Confora said five students were detained for questioning by school officials.

According to Confora, no students received medical treatment and Cleveland police made no arrests.

However, our crew at the scene reported seeing at least one person being put into the back of an ambulance.

The school is looking at surveillance video to see if it will help with the investigation.

CMSD said it has no tolerance for violence.
