CLEVELAND — Former controversial East Cleveland Mayor Eric Brewer is back in Greater Cleveland. And he’s back in the business he knows best, news reporting.
Brewer has just launched a new digital paper, The Cleveland Challenger.
He claims it will be a player in the local media business, offering stories not available in the Plain Dealer and other mainsteram media. His goal is to create a statewide publication.
Brewer served one term as East Cleveland mayor. He lost an election to Gary Norton, who is up for reelection this year.
Brewer lost after pictures of him in women’s clothing were lifted off the internet and leaked to the news media.
