Joyous birthday wishes go out to iconic musician Stevie Wonder, who today (May 13) turns 63!

Despite having been blind since birth, Wonder was a child prodigy and picked up piano playing as well as drums and the harmonica. The gifted singer (whose full name is Stevland Morris) recorded his first album at the tender age of 13 and has been a prominent and influential figure in the entertainment world for over four decades.

With songs like “Isn’t She Lovely,” “Superstition,” and “For Once In My Life,” Wonder contributed to the soundtrack of many millions of lives worldwide. He’s won numerous awards, among them an Academy Award for “I Just Called to Say I Love You” and no fewer than 25 Grammys. In 1989, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Happy birthday, Stevie!
