CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Chris Perez is reportedly under investigation by Rocky River Police.

At a Wednesday afternoon news conference Police Chief Kelly Stillman stated that a package containing a controlled-substance was delivered to 19850 Park Lane on June 4.

The Cleveland Indians relief pitcher and his wife, who live at the address, were both home at the time.

After the delivery, a search warrant was executed and evidence was brought back to the station. Police have not said who the package was addressed to or how much was inside the parcel.

Rocky River Police, the Westshore Enforcement Bureau and the US Postal Service are handling the investigation.

So far no one has been charged and the matter remains under investigation.
