CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

A 58-year-old Cleveland man was found dead outside on Tuesday morning, and it appears to be cold-related. The man was found outside of a house that appeared to be abandoned in the 2100 block of East 68th Street.

EMS crews tell 19 Action News they did not see any trauma. His family has id’d him as Ray Campbell. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will determine Campbell’s cause of death.

19 Action News is also learning just how often Cleveland EMS crews are responding to calls related to the bitter cold.

Paramedics in the city responded to more than a dozen other calls for people suffering from the cold. Those calls included an 80-year-old man with frostbite, and another man suffering from frostbite on his hands after his car broke down.
