CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

There will be 24 free tax prep clinics offered across Cuyahoga County this year as part of the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

“The most important job I have right now is making sure that Cuyahoga County government works for the people it serves,” said Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald. “I thank the Cuyahoga County EITC Coalition for joining us in this effort to ensure that working families will be able to file their taxes on time and successfully claim the federal benefits they’ve earned.”

The series announced Tuesday includes a total of 24 locations across Cuyahoga County where free tax preparation services will be offered for residents.

Taxpayers who earn less than $51,567 annually and are filing a simple return are eligible to participate.

Appointments can be scheduled by visiting http://www.refundohio.org <http://www.refundohio.org/> or calling 211.
