*He’s moving from filmmaking to radio sports broadcasting!

Spike Lee is set to host a show on SiriusXM NBA radio.

Although he’ll be discussing topics about the league as a whole, he gets to talk about his beloved New York Knicks.

Congrats Lee!

“Spike Lee’s Best Seat in the House” — a bi-weekly show — will premiere on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at 7 p.m.

And it’s the perfect name for a show hosted by Spike Lee — since it’s true! He usually does have one of the best seats in the stadium — where he can talk trash and critique the game.

Hence, he might make a great sports radio host.

“While he’s well known for his courtside allegiance to the Knicks, he knows the league and its history inside and out and can bring together the worlds of basketball and entertainment like no one else can,” SiriusXM president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein said in a statement.

Spike Lee’s expertise on basketball doesn’t just stem from his love for the Knicks, but also from his film, which is one of the most popular basketball films ever made — He Got Game starring Denzel Washington and NBA pro Ray Allen.
