CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Browns have released quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell from the team, they announced today.

The 30-year-old Weeden, who started with the Browns in 2012, played in 23 games in his two seasons with the team.

The team released Jason Campbell just moments after they announced Weeden’s release.

Weeden was asking for a trade, we reported last month, and was officially released today.
