ELYRIA, OH (WOIO) –
Dozens of students protested outside Elyria High School Monday morning.
They are upset over controversy surrounding the Allies Club. The group, started just a few weeks ago, supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and straight students.
In a statement on the school’s website, Allies says they promote the acceptance of all minority groups/individuals and work to fight discrimination by educating others on the issues challenging the LGBTQ community.
