During Friday’s episode of “The Arsenio Hall Show,” comedian Katt Williams pulled out a wad of cash and offered to help Hall purchase the Los Angeles Clippers.

The funnyman said that his “business partners, the IRS” only allowed him to contribute $1,600 to the fund to buy the team in the wake of Donald Sterling being banned for life from the NBA.

Williams also made it clear that the $2.5 million fine was nothing to Sterling, who is a billionaire, and that the real victory was being able to have a “fly on the wall” view of how racism operates behind closed doors.

“What was more important was to get an inside fly on the wall so people can hear how that mentality actually operates behind closed doors,” Williams said. “Even as a racist, he’s not that racist, remember who he’s having this conversation with. He didn’t run out of the right color, he decided he should diversify.”

As previously reported by NewsOne, Oprah Winfrey’s spokesperson confirmed Wednesday she is already in discussions with record-label mogul David Geffen and Oracle CEO and Lanai island owner Larry Ellison to pool their vast resources for a bid.

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs tweeted his interest in going after the Clippers, and boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants to form a group to buy the team.
