CLEVELAND–The Cleveland Browns bolstered their wide receiving corps by signing veteran receiver Miles Austin on Thursday.
Austin, a 29-year-old former Dallas Cowboy, was coming off a disappointing, injury-plagued season in which he caught just 24 passes for 244 yards, and no touchdowns.
But if healthy, Austin could be a valuable part of Cleveland’s offense.
Austin has the potential to come in and become the number one receiver, should Josh Gordon have to serve a reported season-long suspension for a failed drug test.
