CLEVELAND – Sometimes the stories that follow the NFL Draft are better than all the speculation that precedes it. This is one of those times.

A couple days after new Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater told Dan Patrick that Cleveland was “not the place where I wanted to be,” the Browns quarterback coach Dowell Loggains said the team’s new star, Johnny Manziel, pushed them to draft him.

Saying the Browns “knew” the Kansas City Chiefs would take Manziel at #23, they traded up to #22 after the former Texas A&M Aggie sent the following text: “I wish you guys would come get me. Hurry up and draft me because I want to wreck this league together.”
