Rapper/singer Cee-Lo Green‘s wallet is feeling the consequences of not fulfilling his contractual obligations. The former “The Voice” judge signed on to perform in Arkansas for a set amount of time and when he didn’t perform as long as the contract stipulated, the concert promoter refused to pay him.

According to reports, Green performed at Riverfest in Little Rock, Arkansas over Memorial Day Weekend. When Cee-Lo signed the contract, it stipulated that he perform for 75 minutes. Both parties agreed on the length of the performance.  However, Cee-Lo got on stage and sang for a mere forty minutes which is a little more than half of the time that was agreed upon.

Riverfest board member Cheddy Wigginton says because of the clipped performance, Cee-0Lo’s performance fee was clipped in half as well. Half of Green’s fee was paid upfront and while Wigginton says they won’t be shelling out the rest of the performance fee, they won’t try to recover their deposit either.

Cee-Lo nor anyone from his camp has commented about the short performance or the lost money.
