An outing at Euclid Beach Park turned tragic Sunday as 34-year-old Kelly Walker of Cleveland and 15-year-old Bryce Canady of Cleveland Heights both drowned.
That’s according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Cleveland police say Walker died trying to save Canady who was swimming in 10- to 12-feet of water.
“It it a tragedy,” Cleveland Police Sgt. Ali Pillow said. “It’s my understanding that there was a family social gathering, and people were here to have a good time. I’m sure they did not envision the day ending like this for family and friends. Our condolences go out to those people right now.” via newsnet5.com
