Jacque Reid talks to Chanel Turner, the owner of Fou dre, the only liquor company in the country owned by a black woman. Turner talks about her premeire vodka and the sweet taste that has the country buzzing.

“The flavor is unique because our vodka hold five distinctive vodkas’s to make it. There are no sugars added to the vodka,” Turner says.

So just how did the Bowie State University graduate come up with the name?

“Fou dre is a play on the French word for lightening. The bottle is made in France but the vodka is made in South Carolina,” she says.
