CLEVELAND – Two law enforcement agencies will be holding checkpoints Friday night.
Cleveland Police will hold a driver’s license checkpoint in Cleveland at E. 108 and Superior Avenue westbound from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol will hold four drunken driving checkpoints Friday:
Akron: 11:15 p.m. to 1 a.m. at 750 S. Main Street
Springfield Township, Summit County: 8:30 to 10:15 p.m. at 1020 Canton Road (state Route 91)
Canton: 11:15 p.m. to 1 a.m. at 1701 Mahoning Avenue
Canton Township: 8:45 to 10:30 p.m. at 1557 Waynesburg Drive (state Route 43)
The checkpoints are planned to educate the public about the problem of impaired driving and to reduce the number of alcohol-related crashes.
