Jimmy John’s has detected a data breach at some of its stores, including several in northeast Ohio.

The company notes that log-in information was stolen from a point of sale vendor and used the credentials to remotely access the systems at 216 stores between June 16 and Sept. 5, 2014.

The company notes that the security breach has been contained and it is safe to use credit and debit cards at the stores again.

It appears that the cards affected were those swiped at the restaurants and not the numbers entered in online orders.

The company is offering identity protection services to impacted customers. Click here to contact the company about the services. They have also posted additional recommendations for customers here .
